An Apology
Folks, I got a little lippy in the OC forum the other day and the mods here called me on it. I want to express my apology to you OCers for that. I honestly do support the right to OC just prefer to avoid any encounters by CCing instead.
I am very heavily involved with a group out here in the Daley regime of ILL ANNOY to restore the right to bear arms and some times my frustrations cause me to not engage brain before letting clutch out on fingers.
I appreciate you folks welcoming out of staters here and I've learned a lot on this forum.
Thank You
Scott,

Re: An Apology
You mean the comment about OCers somethings being assholes to LEOs?
Everyone is allowed to have their opinions, the problem with OCers, is that most of us are given alot of crap by LEOs. As such, there are times when some people can get a little jumpy. I know people that still get nervous if they are pulled over. Let alone when you have absolute horror stories from different sources about how some of us are treated.
I, for one have never been treated poorly by any LEO, aside from my brother, who himself is just a putz. As for the apology, I personally say "no sweat". You are in my books allowed to have your opinion, as am I.I'm so fast, I can bump fire a bolt action.

Re: An Apology
No, I shouldn't have said that. You guys are not being the assholes for exercising your right, the LEO are for giving you crap about exercising your right.

Re: An Apology
I just spent the day with a gentleman who is not only from IL, but lives in Chicago. He spent a bunch of money for the pleasure of my time as his instructor for the day, and arrived to find me OCing a SIG Sauer P220. He asked me if I always carried it. I said no, I was only carrying it because my S&W revolver was in the shop for a trigger job. That actually got a pretty good laugh out of him.
The point of this is, I have openly carried in many places and in front of many people, often people from places like NJ, MD, NY, and now IL. Most people accept it as a normal fact of life. These are people who pay a significant amount of money in travel, lodging, and tuition to spend a day or two with me so they may learn what it is I do and how I do it. I am also pretty well known in my profession as a gun toter, and it has not hurt my business. OC ain't bad, it is a good thing, and more and more people are coming to that conclusion.

This is a 2a forum not a 1a. I might not like what you have to say but I will defend your right to say it. Here or anywhere. Although some here might not agree with that.
