Best place to buy a gun safe???

Hello,

Where is the best place to buy a gun safe? I'm looking for a safe that claims it will hold 20-30 firearms; has a 30 minute fire rating, and is reasonably priced (in the $600 to $800 price range, possibly more). Can be local or on-line as long as shipping isn't a killer.

I bought mine a few years ago at Dunham's. I don't recall the fire rating (that's why I have insurance), but it does the job. Hauled it home in a pick up truck then slid it on to my John Deere Gator to bring it around the back of the house.

Spend more & get a better safe if you can. The safes that Dick's sells are glorified filing cabinets. Think about the value of the items you are planning to store in the safe. Check out Sturdy Safe out of Fresno CA.

Some of the branch stores (Cabellas, Dicks, Bass Pro, etc) have safes that are made by Liberty and they're usually the higher-end ones. Open the door of the safe and look at the edge, you should see the Liberty Logo.

If you get a branch safe - atleast buy a Liberty. Liberty makes good safes.

I seen PGH Tactical firearms has good deals. Ive never bought anything from there but they post stuff on FB that looks like good deals. Gander mountain in Robinson Twp is having a sale right now I believe. Check craigslist too never know.

gunsafes.com seems to be a great online dealer with free shipping. Their prices were great when I saw shopping for a new safe recently. I ended up catching a sale at Cabelas and will pick up my new one as soon as my mountain of a drive way is snow free enough to back a trailer up it.

Cabelas signature series is the liberty franklin series.
