Need Help, Questions on SBR Process
All,
I am new to the SBR process. I have a CZ Skorpion that I aquired in a trade. I would like to go through the legal process of attaching a folding stock to it and turn it from a handgun into a SBR. Does anyone know of a good gunsmith in Eastern PA who can walk me through the process and do this work for me?
How difficult is the SBR process with the paperwork/ATF? Does the ATF hassle you?
Thanks!

Re: Need Help, Questions on SBR Process
It will be a form 1.
Its not overly difficult to do legally. If you drop me a pm i can put you in contact with a good place that can guide you through it and do the smith work.
Lets try to support people that are looking into this rather than insulting them.

I have lived in Chalfont for the past 14 years and have not heard of him. Where is he located?

Re: Need Help, Questions on SBR Process
I started working on a Form 1 for a 10/22 but stopped for now in order to submit for a 6.8 build that I am almost ready to do. The only hitch I saw in the paperwork was what to put for "reason".
I somehow didn't think that the ATF would appreciate "because I want to"...
What have others put down if you don't mind me asking?
I'm thinking target practice / personal defense?

Re: Need Help, Questions on SBR Process
Thank you for the information, much appreciated.
I guess I just need to pick up a lower now so I can move forward.
Actually, another stupid question. It asks what the overall length is of the weapon. Do I need to measure that both ways, stock folded and locked open and collapsed and extended? I suppose that I'll need to estimate, I can't assemble it to measure. Well, I guess I could but that just seems like a bad idea.

Re: Need Help, Questions on SBR Process
The length would be with the stock extended.
Which gun do you need the measurment for...
Skorpion...
10-22...
AR15...
and what length barrel, maybe someone can give you this dimention.
