Re: US Navy Ceremonial Guard Drill Team
When I was stationed at Great Lakes Service School Command outside Chicago, I was the Petty Officer in Charge of a rifle drill team. We used 1903A3 rifles with bayonets. We practiced every day for a minimum of two hours. On weekends we would practice for 4 hours. This was all in addition to our normal duties. To perfect a routine takes months of hard work and possibly a few scars along the way. I still have a scar from those days.
My favorite performance and biggest honor was marching in front of and saluting President Ronald Reagan.
Second would be marching before and shaking hands with Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother.

NAVY...Be all you can be. I got me my first two jobs after I was discharged in 1988, and I am still at the second.
