Facebook: CeaseFire's Joe Grace Tries To Respond To L&S Criticsm
Just saw this little debate over on CeaseFirePA's Facebook page. Member here maybe? Obviously, Joe Grace can't defend L&S besides stating that it receives overwhelming support by police chiefs, mayors, gun owners, etc., etc.
Steve:
Stop dancing in the blood of fallen police officers to further your anti gun agenda. Lock up repeat offenders and ENFORCE current laws. Less criminals will have guns.
Straw purchasing woman in Philadelphia gets probation after pleading GUILTY, and is ordered to go around and speak to groups about the illegality of her crime!!!!
A justice system problem, not a gun problem. Where is your press release about this slap on the wrist? See More

Joe Grace:
CeaseFirePA believes stronger enforcement of the law against illegal gun traffickers and supporting stronger, reasonable handgun safety laws aren't mutually exclusive. We support and work towards both. Check out our courtroom work with the Philly DA's Gun Violence Task Force at www.ceasefirepa.org.

Steve:
All of these L&S ordinances you're pushing in these townships and boroughs across the state have still failed to result in ONE person being charged under them.
If all of these "straw purchasers" were so easily avoiding prosecution before your group pushed these ordinances, why not one single charge in 2 years?????
The people behind CeaseFire are either brilliant by closing this massive loophole, and all of a sudden criminals stopped their illegal conduct, or the ordinance is really ineffective since it has failed to result in ONE charge.
I can't remember any law or ordinance, firearms related or otherwise, which was passed into law, yet still hadn't been used to charge a single person in 2 years. Strange isn't it?

Joe Grace:
Thanks for your interest in this issue, Steve. It's moving across Pennsylvania, east to west, from the large cities to some very small towns. Clearly the local officials, police chiefs and citizens in all these PA municipalities support this simple reporting requirement. If your gun is lost or stolen - and you know it - report it to the police. That's all there is to it.

Wow.. that's like talking to a brick wall. Joe didn't respond with anything relevant to what the other person was posting. What a tool. He can't even answer simple questions about something he is so passionate about..
