No communication with training group??
I am pretty new to formal training, so please tell me if I am over-reacting to this.
I signed up for a 2 day carbine course with a known and respected group to be held this September. Being relatively new to the class format, I had some questions about gear, instructor, etc. I emailed the "info@xxx.com" that they gave for contacts and questions. No response after two weeks. Emailed again. Another two weeks without. Just fired off a third email, but jeez what the fuck??? Be profesional for Gods sake! Between tuition, ammo, hotel, etc I will be at about $800 for a 2 day class, am I expecting too much for a response? I even submitted a question to the "Ask An Instructor" section of their blog, no response.
I am close to asking for a refund and finding another company. Thoughts?Saint Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle. Amen. **PROUD III**

Re: No communication with training group??
I expect either the instuctor or whomever is hosting to be responsible for timely communication with students.
Beyond that, without knowing if this is a reputable person or group scince you didnt name them, I cant help much.
How did you pay ?

This is not normal.
They should react to your questions in a day or two at most.
I think i'd be a little pissed too.
Good luck

Re: No communication with training group??
Just a thought. Did you, by chance, request a delivery receipt and/or a read receipt under the Options part of your toolbar?
It may be possible that the address you are trying to contact is faulty but, you may not realize it without knowing whether or not the email was received/read.Sed ego sum homo indomitus

Re: No communication with training group??
As a general rule, we try to respond to student's inquiries within 48 hours. I can't speak for anyone else, but I think that should be about the norm.

Bob, was the training facility a local one? If so I might suggest going in person. Another option would be to locate a telephone number and contact them in that manner.

Re: No communication with training group??
A professional trainer will (or have designated a contact person to) sent out e-mails with updates months, weeks and days leading up to the event.
Who is the instructor and where is the host club?
