    Default Transfer Question

I live in PA and my brother lives in VA. I am going down to visit him later this month and want to take and give him one of my hand guns.

I know no ffl transfer is needed between parent/child, but what about between siblings living in different states?

Must go through FFL in VA to comply with fed law.

That is only an exception to Pa. law, for transfers between two Pa. residents.

Yeah, in PA only transfers between parent to child, spouse to spouse, or grandparent to child do not need to go through an FFL.

Have him start looking for a place that will do it on the cheap. You could get dinged big time if you go to the wrong place. It seems $20-$25 is about fair, but some places will charge as much as $60.
