Default I'll Explain Why H&K Is messed Up In 2 Links

Please Note: The poster was issued an infraction for this post.

    H&K 31 round 9 MM magazine: $150.00

    http://www.midwayusa.com/viewProduct...tNumber=190845

    Glock 33 round magazine: $42.00

    http://www.midwayusa.com/viewProduct...tNumber=116453

And mind you the Glock 33 rounder is over priced at $42.00. I've bought them all day for under $35.00. How H&K has the nerve to charge $150.00 for an all plastic magazine that holds 2 rounds less than a comparable Glock magazine of the same type, quality, and method of manufacture is totally beyond me. It reeks of more arrogance than Hussein. I would love one of those magazines, and I can afford to buy it. But I'll be damned if I'll give some German outfit who thinks they piss wine and $h!t roses the satisfaction of overpaying for something that ridiculous. Someone else can pay for their Socialism. Idiot's. Bill T.

I have 3 of these magazines and the going price has been the same $150 for 5 years.

The 30 round Glock mag is to feed the Glock 18. The USP doesn't have an auto pistol configuration so they don't make that many of them and there really isn't much use for it except for a novelty.

So you paid the same for 3 magazines as most do for a pistol made from the same material. What is wrong with this picture? That is no excuse for it costing $150.00. How many 9 MM AR-15's do you see? $150.00 for a plastic magazine borders on insanity, or stupidity. Instead of "No Compromise" their slogan should be "No Deal". Bill T.

Seems to me that a 31- or 33-round mag is a luxury or novelty or whatever you want to cal it. As such, HK probably realizes that this is an item for people with disposable income. If you can't afford it, don't buy it. Obviously some people are buying though. Good for them. It's their money.

The cost to make it/material it's made from doesn't really matter much, it is the inconvenience to make it. Doesn't matter if it's plastic, paper, cardboard, etc.. If it is a non-average item, and it takes special equipment, or modified lines to produce, it will cost more.

HOWEVER, that being said, HK is still high on their prices. Their standard 30rd AR mags hover around the $40+ range... Which is too much... wayyyy too much.

I'm not arguing that it's not ridiculously expensive. It is.

I'm just telling you that the price has been the same for awhile. Also, 5 years ago, it was very rare to find one of these as they were all imported from Germany by HK Defense.

Being a collector of all things HK, yes, I bought 3 of them.

As opposed to the wide abundance of Glock 18 owners? Come on now..

I've had several HKs. I loved every one of them. But, I would up selling all of them. The accessory price kills me. Magazines are consumables, they will eventually wear out. A cost of $35-$40 per mag is just unreal. And yes, the 31 Rd magazine is really just the icing on the cake.
