Significantly less, in fact because the design of the firing pin assembly causes Condition 2 to be extremely dangerous with the 1911. Except for those that have the firing pin safety, the 1911 can go off if dropped in Condition 2. 1 or 3 are safe with the 1911. Not 2.

if you want to say "the army specified that the 1911 was to be carried in condition 2" then, sure. but, they didn't design it--though they did force JMB to change his design (and the army specifies some pretty stupid things, so the fact that they specify the gun should be carried a certain way doesn't prove much).
The army specified it be carried in Condition 1. Because of its design. The FMs and TMs concerning it make all of this quite clear.
As for changes the Army required, the Thumb Safety was the big one. The original design didn't have one. The rest of the changes were variations in the specs of parts that were already there.

DA pistols are designed for Cond 2. That's the entire purpose of the Double Action. 1 in the chamber, hammer down, still fires. Rather silly to wander around town with a Glock in C1. What's the point of it?

AFAIK, the Army has NEVER had the 1911 be carried C1. Read the link I provided earlier.
