My dad is a Kel Tec nut also. He has a .40 a 9mm and a .380. He swears by them. The .40 is his carry gun. My mom carries the .380

I have one of these on order as well

IMHO IF it works I'd gladly carry it as my CC weapon.

Pretty intersted in it, but I would not get one till I could shoot one. Hopefully I will start seeing them up at my range to get a feel.

The 22mag from a PMR 30 is a much slower round than the 5.7 due to the barrel length. 22mag is just not designed to be fired from a 4.3 in. barrel. Kel-Tec puts the PMR @ 1230fps. with 40 gr. I think the 5.7 is much closer or at the 2000+fps. mark that 22 mag gets with a long rifle barrel. That being said I am hopeing to get a PMR soon. 22lr. rifle power from a pistol holding 30 rounds sounds fantastic. Wish my ears luck

I'm interested in one. I like the lightweight design and a big plus is the 30 round magazines. I like to camp and hike a lot and it seems like it would be a handy thing to have for plinking and what not.

I don't like the price of .22 magnum though. I've never bought it but it seems on par with the price of cheap 9mm.

If I could find one for $300 I'd buy it. I'll give it a few months though, I hate buying the first of anything.

I've been keeping track of its release date and was wondering if there is anything that can be done to improve the ballistics of the .22 magnum from a pistol?

I figured someone would say this eventually. (Not busting your balls Stooperzero.)

I don't know if I would. Sure 30 rounds is great but wouldn't you want to stop a threat with as few rounds as possible? You don't want to be spewing extra rounds all over, remember, you're responsible for every shot. Plus I cannot say I'd ever be comfortable carrying something in .22 caliber. That's just my opinion.

I think the PMR differs from the FiveSeven here because the FiveSeven is meant to shoot a very high speed round that is intended to be used against humans. (Humans in body armor specifically, but that's another story for another time.) .22 mangum is a sporting cartridge, meant to be used in a rifle, for small game/varmints.

All that being said when the .22lr version comes out I'll be on it like Rosie O'Donell on a deep fried Triple Whopper with extra mayo.

I'm down on capacity alone. The gun doesn't weigh anything. And holds a mountain of bullets. .22 mag is better than .22lr. And while it's not 5.7, it's also not priced like it either. For sd, I don't know. But you could definitely put a lot of holes in something with a gun like that to make up for it's smaller caliber. Its a bullet hose.

I want one the second people get them and say they work.
