This is why I carry.
Don't be paranoid. Be vigilant.

That is sad. At least the dirtbag now has to face his maker.

Too bad the sherriffs department won't issue CCW permits to law abiding citizens. Someone could have stopped this before it went so tragic.
Sort of ironic though.......

That woman should get the highest civilian award possible, she's a hero and had the courage which we all hope we will have in a similar situation

Stories like this piss me off so bad. I feel so bad for that family. I'm not one to wish another dead, but in this case I am glad he died in a gunfight with the cops.

Re: Grandmother killed protecting her 12 year old granddaughter from abduction
Soon after, authorities said 58-year-old Gary Carner kidnapped an 11-year-old girl. Authorities caught up with him at another gas station, and they said when they pulled over the truck, Carner fired shots. Deputies shot and killed Carner during the shootout.Owner Trigger Time LLc 01 FFL/NFA Saylorsburg, PA. Sales/Service/Transfers/Training

Re: Grandmother killed protecting her 12 year old granddaughter from abduction
It happened in TX, grandma could have had a UT or FL lisc and carried concealed in TX. She could have also had a carry lisc for back at home in CA since her son is the sheriff. I wonder if her son urged her to do this, but she thought it was "silly" like so many women do.
That San Diego sheriff needs to start issuing in his county btw, and the people need to vote that stupid woman Rep Saldana out, she is trying to ban open carry in CA, further restricting CA ability to carry.LOL, I am a woman...
