Am I Paranoid?

My family and I were getting ready to go to the carnival last night when my wife told me there was a manhunt a few miles from our house. A man carjacked a vehicle in York and robbed a bank in Gettysburg. He then wrecked it on 116 and fled into the woods several miles from here. With that going on, I put all of my guns in the attic before we left since I don't have a safe yet. Does that make me paranoid or just cautious?

Doesn't sound paranoid to me. But if you ask the right people, they'll tell you that I'm paranoid, so my opinion might not prove a damn thing.

Nothing wrong with taking a little time to protect your investments. Just think if you came home and they were gone. The regrets would have nagged you for years. My home was burglarized a few years back and that makes me think a little differently than those who have never been victimized. By the way I still haven't been called by the police stating that they found the one gun that was stolen from my home, I probably never will.

My main concern wasn't that I would lose my guns, but that they would be used by criminal to continue his crime spree. Or, that I might come home to find him here pointing my own gun at me. Of course, I had my carry piece with me. Don't leave home without it., Also, my wife tells me I'm paranoid for carrying and owning the guns that I do.

I have done the same thing evan,and that does not make you paranoid.

I had 11 or 12 guns stolen. All reported and not one phone call or other notification of their recovery. Yup, gotta love the system.

If your local cops are anything like my local cops, that gun is riding around in some cops briefcase as a throwdown piece for use after they murder a kid.

I wouldn't say you are paranoid. People who leave their keys in their car who heard the same thing would go out and lock their doors. Whenever I am going to be away from my house for a few days I either have a trusted friend keep my firearms at his place or I hide them someplace most people wouldn't find them.
