    Default quick LTCF question

    I tried searching but I didn't come up with anything.

    I'm moving back to Ohio in a few days and was wondering if anyone knew if I can change my LTCF into the non-resident version?

    IIRC your LTCF is good until it expires. You may want to notify your sheriff of your new address incase they try to contact you for a revocation or the such. That way you aren't carrying on an invalid LTCF. Also, you will have to obtain a Ohio CHL (i think thats what they have) so that you can carry in Ohio. PA and Ohio don't have reciprocity so your LTCf is no good for CC'ing on foot.

    PA does not actually have a non-resident version of the LTCF. An out of stater gets the same license as a PA resident... with the only difference being, of course, the state of residence listed on the license.

    I don't believe you will be able to renew your PA LTCF unless you get an Ohio license/permit.

    His current LTCF is valid, in PA, until it expires. Which, as I understand it, means he could come back to PA for a visit and carry on his PA LTCF as long as it has not expired.

    When it does expire, he cannot renew that license (as an OH resident), but would first have to get his OH permit/license and then apply to any PA county for a LTCF as a non-resident.

    Non PA residents are required to have a permit/license from their home state if that state does issue them

    You should find out, as an Ohio resident, if you can carry on the Utah permit.

    For instance, I have the Utah permit so I can carry in Delaware, who has reciprocity with Utah, BUT a resident of Delaware is not allowed to carry concealed in Delaware on a permit/license from out of state.

    shhhhh

    @soberbyker

    I'm told from people on the ohio ccw forums that ohio will honor a non resident utah cfp. I am going to follow up with the sheriff just to be sure though.
