Reloading pressure
For my 12 ga. i use a federal 209a primer, 17 gr. Red dot, a WAA12L wad and 7/8 oz of 7.5 shot. to seat the wad i am using about 40 lbs of pressure, is tht too much or too little?

I don't have any guides for shotshell loading but what do the manuals state? Many powder companies have the data on line if you don't have the hard copies yet.

It's very important to follow documented directions closely when making shotshells. Reloading manuals should be considered mandatory. A change in "brand" of any component can make quite a difference in chamber pressure, and the pressure signs in reloaded shotshells are not nearly as obvious as rifle and pistol ammo.Visit our website at WWW.LARRYWILLIS.COM
