What kind of Mauser are you looking for? Mauser bolt action for hunting, old Mausers for collecting, Mauser action?

If there is a Dunham's nearby - they usually have a few M-Ns that you can hand-pick from. They are about due for their $89.00 Mosin sale as it has been a few weeks now.
All of my guns are lubed with BACON GREASE.

Thinking about a hunting rifle, if I can find a nice one. I'd like to keep whatever I get pretty much original-maybe adding a scope.

Re: Looking for a Mauser or Mosin Nagant...
I picked one up a few years ago when they had one of their sales (I think it was a black friday one actually)
Just make sure to inspect a few different ones. As I remember a few were a little on the damaged side.
Sadly, all the dunham's near where I am have gone out of business.

if you are going to scope it, go with the Mauser. Try here http://www.sarcoinc.com/7-10%20P%20page.pdf or http://www.aimsurplus.com/catalog.aspx?groupid=12

Thanks for the replies, looks like I have some shopping to do. It'll be a Mauser, pretty sure of that.

Walt,
I did some checking and none of my distributors carry mausers. However, they do carry USSG that are built on the mouser 98 bolt action.

Re: Looking for a Mauser or Mosin Nagant...
I just ordered 2, Tula, Hex Receiver, M91-30 Mosin Nagants with Accs. this afternoon from Classic Arms. They should ship out tomorrow. I've been wanting to get a couple of them for a while now, and these new ones from Classic Arms look really nice. I paid the extra $10.00 each for hand select. I'll try and post a few pics after I get them. The Mosin Nagant is one of the best buys out there today in surplus arms. The gun is built like a brick $h!thouse. Should be a lot of fun at the range ringing steel at 200 yards. Bill T.
