Default Prime Time - What would you do?

I was watch the 'what would you do' segment showing teens beating on a homeless man. Of course they were all actors and were there to see if anyone would step up and help. This one happened to be set up in NJ. I wonder what would happen if they were to shoot the same thing in PA and had one of the good samaritans offered an armed response to end the staged altercation. Maybe they avoid doing it here just for that reason.

    Very interesting thought.

I surmise that if it looked like the 'thugs' could kill the 'victim', I'd likely try to get them off of him; I'm no superhero, but I couldn't live with myself if somebody was killed and I could have stopped and didn't.

Yeah, I believe the other episode was at a store in NY. They seem to be targeting sociali.....uh.......constitutionally challenged .........states for their demonstrations.

Was this the one where the guy they beat up was Hispanic? At the end some tiny girl jumps out of car to "stop" them. What a stupid move. Had these been real thugs she would have gotten beat down.

I think I don't care for that show very much.

I can't say for sure what I'd do but I can see myself dailing 911 so the event is recorded, drawing on the attackers from 15ish feet and loudly commanding they stop. At that point, if they stop I'll allow them the option of leaving and let the cops take it from there. Should they attack me I'll be firing I suppose. Should they continue the first attack, I'll fire I suppose. We have the lawful authority to stop such an attack in PA by up to and including deadly force. But one should be sure the attack had the real potential of serious injury or death. Of course, I would suppose a gang beating has that potential.

I've always wondered about those shows like scare tactics, if I saw some alien, vampire or some half rat man running towards me...well I don't know what the hell I would do...yes I do...
