Default sorta positive encounter at Friendly's (E-burg)

On thursday i was stopped at friendly's in eastburg with my girlfriend. while we were eating, a guy from the next table leans over, and says "my son saw your gun and wanted to know if you were a cop. I told him 'i hope so!' "

i grinned at him and told him no, not a cop, just a guy eating lunch. he was from New York, and made a comment about how at home it was almost impossible to get licensed for that, etc, etc. he didn't seem alarmed or anything, but i found the way he worded his opening to ask me if i was a cop without actually asking amusing. sadly, i had no fliers (i forgot them in my car, at the girlie's house), but I did give him a (very) basic rundown on pa carry law.

My cuter half was floored that someone would ask me about my gun

At least he was civil about it. People from certain states (including NY) are probably fascinated at the idea of OC and obtaining a LTCF.

i have noticed this also. a few weeks ago, i had a 3 different groups ask me about OC (i was at a wawa) in about 5 minutes, the last one was a bunch of guys with a video camera who were going around the states recording interesting/weird stuff they encountered. most out-of-staters seem to think it's pretty cool we can do stuff like this.
