No muss no fuss for LTCF in Bucks.
My wife and I went to the Bucks Co. Sheriff's office since our Montco licenses were set to expire and we moved from Montco to Bucks last spring. We filled out the application, paid our money, waited about an hour while the reloaded the laminator and ran our info, and walked out with our new licenses. It was a bit busy there, the deputy said they issue about 100 per day.
Guns are dangerous, but no guns is more dangerous.

How much did you pay each? Did they offer 2 versions?

I have to say that the Bucks County Sheriff's Department is one of the more professionally-run organizations on the Commonwealth, and the Sheriff has a refreshingly adult attitude about law-abiding firearms over.
Remember Edward J. "Duke" Donnelly at election time, if you value your firearm rights. Elections matter, and taxpayers in some of the surrounding counties are envious that Bucks County residents enjoy being treated by our Sheriff like the decent citizens that we are.Attorney Phil Kline, AKA gunlawyer001@gmail.com

Re: No muss no fuss for LTCF in Bucks.
I got my LTCF at the Bucks County Courthouse two weeks ago. The entire thing took about 45 minutes. I was not told of the two versions but I knew about them from PAFOA. I was charged $46 for the laminated license.
I should have been told about the paper version. On the form I had originally checked "other" as my reason for wanting a LTCF because I didn't want to be pigeon holed. I was told by the officer that I should change my reason to "self defense". I thought that was a little strange but I wasn't going to argue.
Other than a goofy picture because the officer never told me he was taking the pic, I was fairly satisfied with the process.

Re: No muss no fuss for LTCF in Bucks.
Got mine about 2 weeks ago at Doylestown. It took me 40 minutes from the time I got out of my car to the time I got back to the car. That includes dragging two kids along and forgetting my wallet in the car. I got absolutely no hassle or attitude, even with out of state references and being unemployed/stay-at-home-dad. Everyone there was very friendly and happy to help me out. There was no lecture about carrying firearms or laws. I was handed a card and told that I should let them know if I ever get arrested. I was not offered the paper license, but didn't want one anyway. It was a very good experience.
