Her's one I believe we can support (and damn but they've been few are far between). At least it goes after those who would intentionally do wrong.

If a gripe is required the only one I can think of is: Why is the state prosecuting crimes against Federal Law (i.e. providing false information on a form 4473)?

AN ACT

1 Amending Title 18 (Crimes and Offenses) of the Pennsylvania
2 Consolidated Statutes, further providing for the offense of
3 sale or transfer of firearms.

4 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
5 hereby enacts as follows:
6 Section 1. Section 6111(g)(4) of Title 18 of the
7 Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes is amended to read:
8 § 6111. Sale or transfer of firearms.

10 (g) Penalties.--

12 (4) Any person, purchaser or transferee [who] commits a
13 felony of the third degree if, in connection with the
14 purchase, delivery or transfer of a firearm under this
15 chapter, he knowingly and intentionally:
16 (i) makes any materially false oral [or written

2 (ii) makes any materially false written statement,
3 including a statement on any form promulgated by Federal
4 or State agencies; or
5 (iii) willfully furnishes or exhibits any false

8 felony of the third degree].

Why is the state prosecuting crimes against Federal Law (i.e. providing false information on a form 4473)?

Because otherwise the state has no lawful authority to do anything regarding a so-called federal law violation, and vice versa.

Why do we need more laws to prevent crime? Crime is already illegal.

It is illegal to kill somebody, why should there be any other laws with regard to how you do it? Allowing someone to have a gun, knife or club doesn't make it ok to Kill.

It is also illegal to rob people. How does regulating weapons make it any more illegal?

I don't get our whole system. If people are so evil that our jail system doesn't scare them straight them lock them up longer.

Instead we have all these extra laws.. So someone points a gun at you to rob you. you should shoot him immediately instead as soon as you draw he turns to run. Now you HAVE to let him go. Then tomorrow he will do it again.

I don't agree with this bill, I think that anyone should be allowed to own a gun. Yes anyone. I also feel that when you commit a crime you should be locked away, on your second offense they should throw away the key.

We need to get rid of all the feel good stupid laws and enact just 1 new law..."An eye for an eye!"

That would surely cut down on crime!

i cannot support this. it is a violation of the state constitution.

the state constitution says the right to keep and bear arms shall not be questioned.

i cannot support a bill that authorizes the state to punish people for lying in response to a question the state is not even constitutionally allowed to ask them.

Just be certain you put your convictions IN WRITING to your representative, so the people writing the laws know your opinion.

I think my Senators and Representatives are going to get a Rubber Stamp with my address on it to aid them in replying to all the mail I send them.

I have always been amazed at how adamant gun owners can be talking with each other. But they aren't very willing to do anything about it other than talk. I got frustrated with a bunch of them years ago, and just threw up my hands and quit trying myself for quite a while. I really would like to see a bit more action and a bit less talk. And by action, I mean just taking 10 minutes out of your life to right a letter to your senators and legislators. I can't believe that our government would just ignore a power as big as ours if we all would get together and actually stand behind what we all believe an preach all the time.
