NFA? NO? stupid or awesome?

alright, i have no idea where to post this but thought i would try here. feel free to move and needed.

I had an epic idea that may be either the coolest or dumbest thing ever. after watching people put ruger 10/22s into fancy airsoft hosts, I thought it might be amazing to put on into an electric guitar. the barrel could go down the neck, and action in the body. it wouldn't be too hard to do with a drill press and dremel, and all the free time i seem to have.

I'm just wondering if this would make the gun into an NFA item since it's kind of hidden?

or is this just too stupid for words?

do what you want, just be prepared to with your flame suite.

As long as you have the serialized part of the weapon (receiver) on your new "stock" you should be fine. Just make sure you meet the required barrel length and stock length dimensions or the ATF will come shoot your dog/wife/kid

If you make a gun look like something other than a typical firearm, and that it will still function as a firearm while in disguise - it will become a NFA Any Other Weapon.


...just like those wallet holsters that encapsulate a pistol and allows it to function while within the wallet holster. They dont look like a pistol, they look like a wallet.
