TV Reporter Suspended Over ‘Ambush’ of Home Defender Who Killed Two

A west Dallas salvage yard owner shot and killed an alleged burglar on Sunday, making the incident the second time in less than one month that he fatally shot someone.

The shooting happened at Able Walton Machine and Welding, where police said James Walton used a shotgun to fire at two men who allegedly broke into the property.

Police said Walton struck both men. Jimmy Gannon, 37, of Ferris, later died at an area hospital.

Walton said he fired at the men because he feared for his life.

Police said the shooting was justified and that they would not file charges.

Sgt. Gene Reyes said criminals tend to target Walton's business.

"I think he was just fed up," Reyes said.

Reyes said Walton had called police 42 times to report potential burglaries and thefts.

Walton shot and killed another alleged burglar less than one month ago.

The second robber probably came because the police keep taking his guns away from him.

What is up with that??

I like how the reporter acts like he wanted to shoot the guys.. He didn't make them come onto his property! If I ever have to shoot someone I'm pretty certain I will have nitemares about it the rest of my life.

if you shoot someone, dont plan on cleaning the gun when you get home to take your mind off things, they are going to take it as evidence thats a given. And the second shotgun they took, well he shot a second guy with it!

Another attack by an hispanic journalist who is trying to crucify a man for defending is own life and property...in his own country, and after defending all americans' rights by serving in our US Armed Forces. (God bless him for that).
As they said..how would she question her own grandfather if he was placed in a similar situation.

Total bias in that reporters' interview, and intimidating him at the same time, shoving a microphone in his face, knowing full well he would not strike a woman.
She need re-education camp.
