Going To OC For The First Time Tomorrow!

Well, I've done my homework (hopefully I'll get a passing grade) and I've decided to begin OCing. Tomorrow, Sunday July 18th, will be my first time OCing in public. I've been CCing for a while now, and I do have my LTCF. But, I've decided that it's time to start exercising my rights.

Nervous? Hell yes!!! I've been rehearsing my "It's perfectly legal" speech for the last hour...hopefully I don't have to use it though.

I'll be carrying my Glock 17 in a Blackhawk SERPA CQC Level II holster.

I just wanted to make sure I had a few things right.
First, it's legal.
Second, I can carry anywhere except: Courts, Federal Buildings, Detention Centers, and schools.
Third, I can't carry anywhere there's a "no firearms" sign, and a business can ask me to leave if they don't support OC.
Right???

Good luck. I know how you feel the first time I oced I kept googling videos of open carry is legal in pa. Watched video after video. Just couldn't believe it was ok. Kept thinking I'm misunderstanding something. But now don't give it a thought. Still aware of surroundings and exits. Don't allow anybody in my comfort zone.

You'll be fine. Take small steps. Quick trip to sheetz or turkey hill. Then bigger trips. Congrats on standing up for your rights. Keep us posted.

Casinos are off limits, k-12 schools are at your own risk. State parks are CC only.

Don't worry, and relax. You are going to feel like every eye in the world is on you. More than likely, it isn't. Some will look, but it isn't a huge thing to worry about.

You can OC wherever you can CC, except state parks. Just go on your day as you normally would. A couple quick points though:

* If you don't act weird, nobody else will either -- they likely won't notice your gun and if they do, chances are they won't care.

* Don't touch it. Do that in the privacy of your home.

* If you hear helicopters, they are there for you.

* You're going to ruin it for the rest of us!
