    Default Trijicon or Meprolight

I took my internal laser (lasermax) out of my glock 19, and now do not have anything to help me out in case i have to use my firearm in the dark; night. Anybody have a preference on what night sights i should install on this? trijicon, meprolight? I have never used the ghost ring sights, and look like they are a good way to get fast on target. What should i get? Oh and i saw these, but this is just not my style...LOL

...but on a serious note, what should i get?

i personally like the 2rears to be a different color than the front, and i'm not sure if trijicon has that option but I know meprolight does...

personally i dont think your gonna go wrong either way, whichever suits your needs and comes at the best price as long as you stick with the top brands like those 2 you'll have no regrets...

I hope this doesnt sound stupid on my part but...why do you like the fronts and rears to differ in color? is it easier to get back on target or something?

to tell you the truth I dont have them on any of my CCW pieces, I have all green trijicons across the board... But I recently got to shoot someones with those sights and liked them alot, I am starting to like having a diff. color front sight on my pistols, not sure why really just personal preference.. I will probably get the 2 color meprolights next time..

and a strong +1 for tonys recommendation of a quality flashlight..

No exp with Trijicon, but I just installed Meprolight sights on my gun. They look great, glows nice and bright very quickly as soon as it gets dark.

Some people claim that its easy to get the front and rear sights confused in the "heat of battle" at O'Dark-Thirty with same color front-rear. IOW the front can be misaligned whereby one thinks it is the right or left rear and the left or right rear is the front.

I think the problem is over-exaggerated however I do prefer different front and rear because I find sight alignment to be faster.

Trijicon does make different color front - rear sets.

The reason I like trijicon over meprolight is that the trijicons are swaged into place whereas mepro's and others are epoxied and can be affected by cleaning solvents. It's certainly easy to prevent contamination when cleaning your handgun but I like the fact that I don't have to think about it with trijicon.

Just my .02...Recently invested in a set of Crimson Trace Laser Grips for a S&W mod 60. They are a bit pricey but the research I did proved this to be the best option for me. I have been pleased so far. Also was glad to find that once installed they do not pose a problem with any holsters. The laser blends right in and the grip itself feels good.
