Hi, guys and gals -

I have an unusual request. I need some help putting a family member "over the top" in a college contest. A bit of a background check on it:

My cousin's daughter, Kristin Juila, was the most critically ill student that was overcome by carbon monoxide gas from a water heater valve in off-campus housing at Virginia Tech a few months ago. Kristin spent many, many days in the hospital, finally pulling through it with her normal determination, great doctors and nursing staff, and the many prayers of family and friends.

We honestly didn't know if she would even make it. After hearing the concentration levels, I'm shocked she's still here with us, period. I'm extremely grateful and glad to say that she's now back at school part-time and is continuing her medical care on a hopeful "majority" recovery from this horrific event.

Kristin is entered in a college cheerleading contest sponsored by the athlonsports.com website. With all the gal has been through, making it to the next round and possibly the top of the contest would be a great thing for her.
