Re: Blackhawk Serpa Holsters - Anyone have one?
I have one for my M9, haven't done much with it, though. I have the one that mounts directly onto my MOLLE vest, which is a little different from the thigh rigs or belt loop ones. If you've not used a SERPA before it takes a little getting used to at first, nothing major, you just have to practice with it a few times.

Re: Blackhawk Serpa Holsters - Anyone have one?
there have been a number of threads on the subject of the SERPA on this forum. they get long and heated, so can't really be summarized quickly here. if you manage to wade through the search engine, though, you will be able to find all kinds of opinions and experiences with them that have been put forth.

You must exercise care during a quick draw. But that goes without saying...
Just like andrew said, practice safely, and follow the "rules" of gun ownership and try one for yourself.
I like mine, especially while riding the motorcycle...

I have one for my Llama 45 acp (Colt clone), I love mine. It does take practice to draw it, but it becomes a natural movement after a while.. I don't even think about it when I draw mine from it..

Re: Blackhawk Serpa Holsters - Anyone have one?
I have used a holster similar to the SERPA where the when the finger is depressed the weapon will release and if not operated in that manner the weapon wont release. That took close to a week to get it work just right so I understand what you are saying and coming from. There is no point in having a holster you cannot draw from.
I think I will purchase one and see if I like it. Thanks

Re: Blackhawk Serpa Holsters - Anyone have one?
I have them for everything that I can have them for.
Just remember that the screws should be just snug tight (screw them in with only a little pressure on the driver as far as they go, then give them a quarter turn more)...don't smash them down, or they will weaken the material."...a REPUBLIC, if you can keep it."
