"Is that a real gun?"
I love this question.
The following conversation took place in a local supermarket this evening.
"Of course it is - why on Earth would I carry a fake one?" (said with a smile, btw)
"Well...um, I don't know..."
"Yes, it's real."
"Okay. I saw the handle and the holster, then the clips, and I was like -"
"They're magazines."
--pause and awkward look from the cashier--
"Sorry, they're called magazines. Clips are what go into a rifle."
"Oh, magazines..."
"My apologies. I'm a little assinine about the nomenclature."
"The handle looks really cool."
"Thanks, I painted it myself. They're just plastic inserts, so it wasn't that hard."
"You must have a license then?"
"Well, yes, I do, but to carry like this," *pointing to openly carried pistol* "...one doesn't need a license. If I got into a car or covered it up with my clothing, then I would need a license, but since I have one, I don't have to worry about it."
Now, as I was saying this whole last bit about OC/CC, the woman who got in line behind me with her young son as we were ringing out stopped loading things onto the conveyor belt, and out of the corner of my eye, I am pretty she had just realized I was carrying a gun. I could almost feel the look of *(O.O)*
That was the size of the conversation, really. I was done ringing out, so he said "thanks for coming in" and I was on my way.Junior

if that is your real gun with blue grips as seen in your avatar I can kinda side with the cashier. Not too ofter you see a gun that has bright blue grips on it. For the non average gun person I can see why it might seem like it could be a toy.

I have four colors. I've strayed away from the red, green, and blue, because it's a good point that they make it look like a training gun.
I like the white ones.Junior
