    Default Ruger P89 Grip

    Hey Everyone,

I purchased a Ruger P89 several weeks ago and I fired it only once so far. I like the pistol a lot, but I hate the cheap plastic grips. Why I didn't spring for the extra $30 to get the Hogue rubber grip is beyond me. Is that the grip you would recommend getting or is there a better option for about $50?

I went with the Hogue on my P89. I think the only possible better grip option would be grip tape.

I like the grip sleeve. Looks like that's all I would need. Thanks!

Thanks for the info. I always forget about ebay. I purchase quite a bit from them though, including my golf clubs. I picked up the Hogue grip for about $22. Looking forward to the next range visit for sure.

A little late but I know the Ruger website sells Hogue Grips with the Ruger logo on them. Nice touch, I would have gotten that if I had seen them before I had purchased my Hogues for my P944.

I have a SP 101 as well, so if I look to "customize" it I can check with Ruger. Thanks for your input.

I picked one up off of E Bay for $23 about 3 month ago & even though it looks like a undersized condom it works great & feels good! Good luck my friend & remember that everything in life is a target.

I can only speak for myself but i love the Hogue grips. Not sure about any others cause i never tried them. The Hogue grips were already on mine when i baught it from a gunsmith, but i wouldn't trade them for anything. They are very comfortable and durable. At 5'5" and with medium sized hands, the Hogue grips still fit nicely. I would definately recommend that you spring the money for them. You won't regret the decision.
