Default Sig 522 - I like it more each time I take it out.

I really enjoy this little rifle. I took it to the range today and was shooting at 25 yards standing with the rifle freehand. I picked up a Burris AR322 red dot scope and attached it to the rail. It was easy to sight in and has kept it's zero. Each group on these NRA A-10 targets is two 25 round magazines.

Glad to hear it, I hope to have some pics of my own tommorrow hoping I can pay off my layaway, and purchase scope at lunch tommorrow I got a 522 swat. Any ammo I should stay away from?

Nope. I have the 522 swat and it fires everything, including the federal 550rd bulk pack from walmart. Here's a picture of mine.

Not that I have discovered. I run all the bulk stuff through it -- Remington Golden 525 pack, Winchester, Federal, PMC, etc. Today I even mixed them up in the magazines and only had one or two FTF's.

I absolutely love mine. It was made Oct 31 09 and I bought it Nov 3 09. It has been going strong since day 1. Not a single problem with it ever.

Guns don't kill people, it's mostly the bullets.

Agree on the ammo part - nothing, absolutely nothing I've tried stops this rifle.

It's like a 552 Speedmaster or a Remmy bolt or Henry lever. It even ate the Aguila 60gr stuff like a dog on bacon.

I can garunfreakintee you this; if this were 1984 - there'd be lines of people outside of the ATF office with Form 1 conversion papers in their hand to add a funswitch to these 522's.
All of my guns are lubed with BACON GREASE.

Picked it up at lunch today, cant wait to get off work and play with it, bought 2 555 rd packs of ammo and a cheap red dot to hold me over till I get the Nikon I want.... .and also to keep as a back up. Now I just need a few more mags and a supressor photos later

I've posted about this gun on here before, but I'll say again that I love this rifle! Bought one after reading reviews on here saying how great it was and have had nothing but good things to say about it since. My 522 currently has a bi-pod, sling, and 3-9x scope on it. I thought about adding more tacticool things to it (flashlight, laser, etc) but it looks bad-ass enough as it is!

I can garunfreakintee you this; if this were 1984 - there'd be lines of people outside of the ATF office with Form 1 conversion papers in their hand to add a funswitch to these 522's.
If we had the option to convert these to full auto I'd gladly pay the $200 for the stamp. I could only imagine how fun it would be to shoot it like that.

All that being said, the only problem I have had with the 522 is taking the flash suppressor off. I had to take it down to just the barrel and grip it into a vise, and it took a lot of force to get the thing to finally break loose the first time.
