My old Remington brought up to date
I sent an old Remington 1100 to Mike Larocca at Larocca Gun Works and basically told him to give it the works. Here is what he sent back to me. I added the Galco leather stock shell holder.
This is Larocca's 18-8 treatment. I have had it out to the range and it will put 8 shots out before the first hull hits the ground.

To each his own. I don't know if non-wood replacements are available for the forearm and the buttstock. but with such a radical change I would have probably sold the wood on eBay and replaced them, too.

Re: My old Remington brought up to date
As the next poster says to each their own, there is no need for insults. You can, of course, do whatever you like with your shogun.
As much as I like Remington 1100's I don't see them as much of a classic collectible to worry about ruining with modifications. Besides I have a bunch of them.
The performance of this gun is incredible and everything was done professionally and came out to my liking, so I don't think anything was "killed".

Not sure why some people have a problem with this. I like how it looks! Especially if it runs as fast as you say. Is it short barreled or just over the limit? Looks awful short!

Not that it matters, but I think that's one of the hottest shotguns I've seen in a long time.
It's not tacti-cool, it's tacti-hot!
All in all, it isn't how good it looks that matters, but there's no shame in looking good while kicking ass either.
If you ever get to one of the Pgh. group shoots, I'd like to see that in person!I called to check my ZIP CODE!....DY-NO-MITE!!!
