Default Possible new gun ban tactic-wipe out toy guns too.

The new regime might go after air soft in jackass season (2009-2013).

"On the question of what we would like the government to do, our immediate and most urgent priorities are to ensure that the Violent Crime Reduction Act is implemented, including the ban on all imitation weapons. We are extremely concerned that the airsoft skirmish hobbyists who use replica military weapons have been given a defense to enable them to continue to buy and use these weapons, despite consistent and overwhelming evidence (according to the Home Office) that these weapons are involved in over 80 percent of imitation weapon offences."
Lately anti-gunners have looked overseas for new inspiration, and this will no doubt get their attention. Like a snake oil salesman's response to a former customer and naysayer, "obviously, sir you need a double dose". Expect cries for more control when the last series of laws fail to do anything.

Let's hope they remember the losses and attrition during congressional elections after the 1994 assault weapon ban passage.

Most airsoft guns are now being sold with clear shells/frames instead of black because of their being used in crimes. The last time I was in Gander Mountain they had several models, all were clear plastic.

First ones I saw, I was wondering why this pistol was so cheap. Then I realized it was an airsoft pistol. They looked so real I couldn't believe it. The AK version is lifelike.

I don't think they need to look this real either . They can make them brightly colored. Yet, we can still use them to train, and the bad guy can't use it to fake a gun in a hold up.
The American Revolution would never have happened with gun control....
The day they want my guns, they'll have to bring theirs!!!

All somebody has to do to a clear one is just paint it. That won't stop anybody from using them in robberies.
