    Update #3

All parts are now in and ready to go, I did a test run yesterday and it all went together well but had no camera. Today, the new barrel arrived so it's time to start over again. I'll be posting tomorrow morning from work as long as it's not too busy.

Nothing wrong with rockin out the 10/22. Mine has a Butler Creek folding stock. i don't like the archangel stock because it has a gap between the handguards and the front sight that kind of gives it away easily, but if you want the AR look that is the way to go. I also did some simple internal upgrades. Bell and Carlson extended mag release, Volquartson bolt release, Volquartson precision extractor, and a polymer bolt recoil buffer.

Gun Pictures Want to show off your new toy? Want to request a picture of something specific? Upload your pictures here!

I would bet that the OP wants to see pics from others that have made their 10/22 badass.

I would like to see the pics of the work the OP already did but would also like to see others work.

I have had that feeling as well. Well both feelings. Just trying to give the benefit of the doubt.

I've come across an old Ruger 10/22 at my parents house that seems to be in a "shootable" condition but really looks rough. At the moment my cost is at $0.00 and my goal is to stay under $250 total, now if i needed the rifle then i'd say $400 would be OKAY but I got lucky and dont have to go that route.

My plan is to make this look as close to an AR as possible, keeping it short and compact though.

Also, im no expert on this, but figured there cannot be any better rifle out there to make a first project gun out of so check back later, your input and advise may just be on this rifle!
unless you really want to spend some cash and have a custom made kit by some guy ive never heard of the archangle kit is by far the closest you will get to the AR look... im a fan of the m1a look so i decided on the ATI folding stock kit...
