Gun Paint
Not sure where to put this but what are you guys using to paint your guns? More specifically, I have a S&W 22A plinker that I would like to out some paint on the front sight and a 90-TWO that I think would look neat with some white paint in the etching. thanks in advance, Joe.

Re: Gun Paint
a friend of mine owns a body shop and I was going to get him to mix me up something super bright white. I just didn't know if just anything will do with all of action of the pistol.

Re: Gun Paint
You can use white out as well.
Not to be mean, but those SW 22As suck. When I worked at the gun shop...our rental was always breaking, so I hope you have better success with your pistol.

Re: Gun Paint
For sights, I use hobby / model car type paint...I think the brand is Testers. I like the lime green for front sights, and it stays on pretty well. For filling in engraving, I've heard of people using crayons, or those white car tire sticks you can probably get at an auto parts store. I also picked up a Gold Filling kit a few years ago that was on some clearance table somewhere. It came with two vials of chemicals, and a vial of real gold powder (the powder is the consistency of powdered metal or the graphite dry lube). I'll have to look and see what the brand is when I get home to see if they are still sold. I did a remington 700 with the gold fill kit a number of years ago and you work it in like a paste until it is flush with the surface. It's still there after hunting with that rifle many times.
