Stubby Gear?
Does anyone know if Stubby Gear is still open? Every time I drive by it seems to be closed.

Re: Stubby Gear?
I'm pretty sure he is still open, but I think he has really weird hours. I stopped by there on Friday and he was inside but he wasn't open but I assumed he was getting stuff together for the gun show.

Re: Stubby Gear?
I've been wondering about this as well. Everytime I stop by, he's been closed. Luckily, I'm not far away. I'm not sure whats going on with that place. It seems like its just a part time business. I might ask whats going on next time I'm in, but I haven't decided how to word it, without sounding like a smartass. He's usually closed sun, monday, tue (although sign has hours for tue). He also goes to gunshows and closes, so he really could be closed fri, sat, sun, mon, tue...... Well I just stopped by today (wed)...and CLOSED.

Re: Stubby Gear?
Well thats good if he is still open. I wanted to buy a handgun and would rather spend the money local as opposed to a bigger chain store.

It seems Stubby Gear is indeed closed, the few times I stopped by they barely had any handguns, usually a few used Glocks and M&P's and some revolvers. Stonybrook Shooting Supplies on the other side of York has a much larger handgun selection and the best prices I've found in the area.

Re: Stubby Gear?
Its sad to see a good guy go. I can only hope I get as good of reviews as he did. But for a new gun shop stop by I try to have the best prices in town on new and used guns.

Re: Stubby Gear?
I second the mention of Stonybrook Shooting Supplies. Best prices around, nice guys, great selection. I've bought from them, and will again in the future.
