I think this would be a great idea to encourage people to start writing in to their local papers about gun laws. Thoughts?

Both...or even letters to officials and politicians. If you get published you couldpost a link and add a line to the subject[PUBLISHED] or something along those lines.

Would also be a good way for people to see others' writing styles, which may help them get past some of the nervousness of responding. Many have things to say, but don't necessarily know how to start or what to say.

It might be helpful to post who you dealt with at a paper and how receptive they were.
