C-Mag for Beretta CX4
Anyone know of or have tried to cut the the lip off of a 9mm colt or HK Beta C-Mag and replace it with a lip off of a PX4 OR 92 factory magazine. I'm going to the Carlisle show tomorrow and I'll get some dimensions off of the Colt and HK mags. Any input or ideas appreciated. Thanx, Charles

Re: C-Mag for Beretta CX4
the magazine tower on the betamags is modular, and can be swapped out.
what you actually need is:
1 one 20rd or larger mecgar magazine (Mecgar makes factory beretta mags)
2. one 9mm beta c-mag and appropriate number of dummy rounds
3. one magazine adapter plate from Don Quinnell, or other maker.
I dont have contact info, but i can try to get some.
basically, you weld the mecgar mag body on the adapter plate, and use the factory screws to mount the new magazine tower on the mag.
one word of warning: it will be horribly awkward due to the mag being so close to the hand and arm"Oderint Dum Metuant" - BMFH

Re: C-Mag for Beretta CX4
Thanx for the info. Im going to do some more research on this now and any more you could find is greatly appreciated. as far as the awkwardness, I realize that but I mock held my ar c-mag in its place and the only time it seems to be a problem is shooting to my extreme left across my body. Since im not going to be using it for kicking down doors or shooting around corners Its not much of a concern. I can't believe some one doesn't make a high cap replacement tower for it or I would have already bought a c-mag for a 9mm colt or hk and converted it. The closest thing I've found that looks like it could be converted with minimum cut and weld is an UZI drum.

BETA TOWER for 9MM UZI
I'm looking for a steel tower for an UZI 9mm 100 rnd. Beta; my information is that Don Quinell makes them, but his location is unknown to me.

If you find anything on Mr. Quinell, please post. I couldn't find anything on him either. I seen some uzi towers at the show in york a couple weeks ago. Can't remember whos table it was but they are always there. They will probably be at the 12/8 and 12/9 harrisburg show as well. good luck
