As of now, I have no prior record, am not charged with anything, and it's likely that all charges will be dropped, but this could take monthes. Can I buy a firearm or will I be rejected since I am out on bail and awaiting trial? Please let me know, thanks.
IANAL but if you have a PA LTCF you are able to borrow or be loaned a firearm. I'm not sure if the pending charges make you ineligible to exercise this LTCF privilege. Someone on here should know for sure.

Go fishing much? You asked your lawyer this question, follow his advice.

Your situation appears to be highly illogical.

By my (non-attorney) understanding of the law, you are not prohibited from purchasing/possessing a firearm, unless that has been imposed as a term of your bail agreement.

However, you are currently "ineligible" to possess a LTCF based on the language containted in 6109(e)(1)(viii):
    (1) A license to carry a firearm shall be for the purpose of carrying a firearm concealed on or about one's person or in a vehicle and shall be issued if, after an investigation not to exceed 45 days, it appears that the applicant is an individual concerning whom no good cause exists to deny the license. A license shall not be issued to any of the following:

(viii) An individual who is charged with or has been convicted of a crime punishable by imprisonment for a term exceeding one year except as provided for in section 6123 (relating to waiver of disability or pardons).
If your LTCF has not yet been revoked, you should realized that it can be based on the current law. It's my opinion that an appeal would be a waste of time and money, as it's very clear you don't legally qualify - at least until the matter is resolved in your favor. If you do not prevail, you will be disallowed from owning, possessing, and carrying firearms until you may be able to effective a legal remedy. Even in the best of circumstances, this will be a lengthy and expensive effort.

I'm not saying that any of this is how I think it should be, it's just the way I understand the situation to be, based on current PA law.
