    Default New S&W Bodyguard

Saw the new S&W Bodyguard 38 at my buddies shop today - just got them in, no 380's yet. I'm not overly impressed. It's a nice lightweight revolver - the laser looks a little strange sitting up high, like an afterthought, and terrible on switch - it's a tiny little button on the top that can't be turned on very quick. I think I'd pay the extra $ 100 if I wanted a lightweight 38 with laser and go with the lcr.
I'm getting the Bodyguard 380 when it comes in, hopefully my guy will have it soon - keeps on being delayed.

Thanks for the review. I was looking into the .380 but i'm unsure about the laser. I want it to be activated as I grip the pistol like the crimson trace.

I have a 638 "Bodyguard with crimson trace grips, it is incredibly nice. What do you mean about the switch and laser??

There is a new S&W "Bodyguard" model just out, with a laser built in.

Ah ha, I googled it and that 38 is butt ugly. Don't know how it works but the old school 638 is excellent.

If I may ask, where/what is your buddies shop? I live in New Cumberland and am always looking for new places to shop.

The new one looks HORRIBLE IMO but the old school "bodyguard" j frames are where it's at!
