hypothetical question regarding carrying from pa to nj
Hi, quick question:
Say in a hypothetical situation one had a LTCF here in PA and wished to travel to Camden to attend a concert and then would be in Philadelphia for the rest of the night after the show. Could one keep his/her firearm unloaded seperated from ammo as with interstate transport while time spent in NJ and then arm oneself again when in PA?? Any options there??
Strictly hypothetical of course.
Thanks.Now less Glock, more H&K :)

Re: hypothetical question regarding carrying from pa to nj
Short answer, NO. Actually, not hypothetically, one would be in a boatload of trouble if discovered by law enforcement in NJ with a firearm, even unloaded and locked up.
Don't do it, man!Power always thinks...that it is doing God's service when it is violating all his laws.

Re: hypothetical question regarding carrying from pa to nj
Strike even the thought of that!
Nj is one of the hardest states on handguns. NJ's AG office even tried to fight HR 218 (All Carry) for LEO's. Even their retired officers have to go to the State Police for a licensing process to carry.
Before you do this one, if you're white you might wanna consider a swastika tattoo, and if you're black, you might wanna read the Qu'ran or become a blood, because you're gonna need protection , in jail, if you're caught.
Just don't go to Camden!!! Even Philly is safer!

Take the ferry over from Philly. Drops you right at the place and picks you up from there. Can't take your gun but you don't have to pass through Camden at all. It's the safest option, very convenient and kinda fun.

Are there lockers at the ferry slip?

Re: hypothetical question regarding carrying from pa to nj
Actually the answer is YES. Unloaded ,separate compartments, no hollow points and make sure the firearm is 'securely' locked up (as in a gun case) in the trunk. dcdalton talked to the AG (pretty sure that's who he talked to) and got this response. He also has a printout of the statute that allows you to do this in our car.
afaik but ianal either.
Let's see if we can get him in here to clarify and make sure I'm not missing something.
