Default Add another OC'er to the population

I have been CC for a couple years now, but have been enjoying all the posts of OC encounters. Since it was hot, and I didn't have on a pair of shorts with the proper waste size for my supertuck, I strapped on my Serpa CQC and grabbed my XD.
I had to get some gas for the mower and then take the pooch to the vet for some shots. Stopped at the local station and filled the can. A couple soccer moms and one young kid. One lady took a second glance, but nothing more.

The vet was very busy (doggy play night). Sat for a few minutes while a few people said hello to my dog. Took 5 minutes to get a booster shot, then to the front counter to pay. A couple stood behind me in line, but I don't think they noticed, or didn't care. I think everyone was busy looking at the dogs.

Pretty boring post, I know...but it went as I expected after reading the experiences of most. Probably will OC more, except when my 5 year old son is with me. I'm still a little nervous about having a "bad" encounter with him present.

Congrats on you first OC experience. I think it's pretty telling about how well the brainwashing of society/mainstream media works on even we gun owners that OC'ers are paranoid about being stopped the first few times they OC. I was like that the first time as well....

Glad it went well for you. I've done some OC'ing in the wind gap area over the last couple years without a problem. Some of my buddies and I have open carried a Detzis Tavern a bunch of times without issue. Good food, but don't get the hot wings, they're TOO HOT, and this coming from a hot wing fiend.

Good to know Detzi's is OC friendly. We eat there quite often. I've never tried the not wings. Have you tried the stuff in the glass jars on the tables?

I don't know, but it makes your eyes water and nose run when you take a good wiff... That's as far as I went...

I'll have to check it out some time. Next time we head down I'll give you a heads up and we can have a little OC lunch or something. It's nice to be able to get out with other OC'ers, gives you some comfort and a little more confidence.
