What the hell is a Roburrito? I'm a transplant myself, but it's from rural western MD (20 miles outside the Cumberland area)...worlds apart from the Maryland that makes the laws.

Nice response. This guy is half brain dead to go up to a stranger with a gun. All of us know that's not a big deal but to tell someone carrying is wrong just scares me. I was taught to mind your own dam business when you have no clue what you are talking about. And again nice comeback.
I'd rather be judged by twelve than carried by six!

Sounds like you handled it well.

And seriously, if you don't know the laws, wouldn't it be a better idea to ask first before making yourself look like an idiot by making some stupid statement that you can't back up. Especially if you from a different state. Some people.

    WOOT Tsingtao beer, mmmmm!!

I'm a DPRM (Democratic People's Republic of Maryalnd) transplant myself, moved up here from The Dena (Pasadena for those of you not familiar with the geography slang) just this past May. I actually moved here for the friendlier gun atmosphere and the lower cost of living. I've tried OC occasionally, Mr.FiredUp got me giving it a go (I had to maintain my manly man appearance, can't CC when I'm running around with him). My only solo experience was up to the Hess station on Carlisle then over to that Pizza place on 116, Capella's the other day, pretty damn good pie I gotta say. The fella at the counter (really pleasant guy) eyeballed my rig once but must have noticed my front truck tag (PA is so cool only 1 tag), crossed pistols/Military Police tag and asked if I was an MP. Said, nope but my son is (was an MP for my last 2 years after the fall of the wall, long story), then asked "are you protective service division" said nope, just carry like this because I can. Offered him a flier (since I've been reading how everyone does that now I keep a couple in the truck) but he said "yeah, I know its legal just never met anyone that carries openly that's not some form of law enforcement". Turns out he's a prior service member, field artillery (teased him about being a lanyard yanker) he served in Iraq and Afghanistan but out on a medical knee injury, which we didn't go into detail about. Talked about both our experiences, etc etc.

Gonna go back up there for more pie some time soon, hope he's working so we can chat again. Soon as I get over the mental thing of drawing attention to myself I'll OC much more frequently, not worried about Joe Law or anything, just like being unobserved for lack of a better term.

I gave you rep for being honest. A real man is someone who isn't afraid to express how he feels, and a real man is honest. You were scared, and you even admitted your voice squeaked, yet you faced your fear and came out on top.

Pull your waist line up, puff out your chest, and bend the old lady over the kitchen table.

    Beers on me tonight.

Question Re: Bad encounter made good...

One can't help but wonder what the douchebag, with a full head of steam and headed your way, would have done had you NOT been prepared with facts.

Your description of said caveman was a bit scary.
