Default oh noos- Home Depot encounter

It's too hot to try to CC down here and I had to pick up lumber and bags of rock so why print?
My wife and I go in for our 1st load, I see they have a wallymart type greeter so I walk in with her on my strong side so I happend block his view.
We shop for a while I was no issues and take the 1st load of stuff to the burb.

We go back in to get the stone and some pool stuff. She stops briefly to look at something so I walk back in with no blocked view.

him- (while pointing at me with making a gun with his hand motion)
ahhem sir I assume you have a permit for that?

    I didn't really stop walking.
Me- I have a CC permit but it's not needed for open carry, OK?

    Him- ok ahh just checking.

Got what I needed and other than a couple of quick WTF looks no issues.

BTW it's a permit in VA not a lic.

I love when non-LEO type people ask this. What would they do if you had said no?

When I'm OC, I always answer "No" if asked about a LTCF (by anyone). I think so far it's only been asked by courthouse security when checking my firearm. Never anywhere else by agent or citizen.

I, too, get a proverbial "kick" out of that.
Some say that his discharge is luminous.
