The GF still cringes when I remind her of the time I was replacing a window, and needed that specialty tool to clean up the excess caulk after I put the bead around the edge. She was halfway out the door to the hardware store to ask for a "caulk sucker" before I stopped her....

Because this was after I'd taught her to shoot.

Ha. I would send the wife to Long john silvers for fish on Fridays during lent. She fell for it several times before she caught on.

OK Norm, I'll admit that I just don't get it.
My wife is Catholic, I'm Catholic light (Lutheran).
Fish on Friday during Lent is standard protocol.
Long John Silver's sells fish. (Greasy as it may be).
I'd fall for it too, I just asked the wife and it she seems like if there's something to fall for she'd be right there with me.

Please clue me in, maybe I can rib the wife abut something else. (as if I'm not always in enough shit with her anyhow).

I don't have a short temper, I just have a quick reaction to bullshit.

We are not catholic. She comes from a small town near Erie. Not a lot of Catholics there either. Tons of Catholics around here. Long johns gets pretty busy during lent. Growing up we avoided the place like the plague during lent.

She would come home with the fish and be pretty ticked. Then I would get her again the next year.

We have been known to do things like this at work (although not with the inuendo)

Sending the new guy down to the shop for the "plate stretcher" (loosely relates to my line of work), and darned if the shop guys never seem to have it. But the shop thinks the electricians have it. And the electricians don't have it but they think the building maint guys have it. And so on and so forth, everybody plays along. It's usually good for an hour or so of laughter at the noobs expence.

Same chances as finding a lefty holster in stock at a a local gunshop (other than those crappy nylon "ambidetrous" things)....It would be so nice to actually try out a holster before buying
