If you have no muzzle device then there's 15 countable parts on the Saiga.....that means you need at least 5 US made parts....right now you are not 922r compliant if you only have 4.

What 4 US parts do you have exactly ?

    Saiga has 14 parts.

    (1) Receiver
    (2) Barrel
    (3) Trunnion
    (4) Muzzle attachments
    (5) Bolt
    (6) Bolt carrier
    (7) Gas piston
    (8) Trigger
    (9) Hammer
    (10) Disconnecter
    (11) Buttstock
    (12) Pistol grip
    (13) Forearm handguards
    (14) Magazine body
    (15) Follower
    (16) Floorplate[/QUOTE]

Any US parts that you add don't count towards your foreign parts total. Assuming your pistol grip and muzzle device are US made, you only need to remove 4 foreign parts. If you decide to add a foreign made muzzle device then the next easiest part to replace would probably be the handguard.

    Talking UPDATE

I've finished the bullet guide and I must say, even being my first time and using only a hand drill, it was pretty simple. It went flawlessly and was the best part of the conversion process!(beside cycling rounds through with a 30 rounder for the first time!)
I hope to have a picture up soon....man I love that SAIGA!

Thanks for all your help guys

here is a picture of my 20" barrel saiga.

    http://thegunwiki.com/Gunwiki/BuildS...rifyCompliance
and here is a link to the best saiga compliance list i have found. (even though another board member has givin it to you already)

here is what i used in my conversion.

1)tapco gas piston .......1 us part
    2)tapco 20 round mag ......3 us parts
    3)tapco g2 trigger.............3 us parts
4)romanian surplus wood funiture....0 us parts
5)bakelite red romanian pistol grip.....0 us part
6)bulgarian front sight block with 24 mm ak74 muzzle brake....0 us parts
    total 7 us parts

If i left the ugly black us made stock and pistol grip i could use the communist steel mags, but i love the look of the romanian AKM furniture, and the tapco mags work good for me at the local range where LOE might run up on me and check compliance count!

make sure you post pics of your saiga.
