    Default 60grn. Subsonic 22lrs ?

Im of the understanding that you aren't to use them in a rifle with 1 in 16 twist cause they don't stablize and can cause a baffle or end cap strike. But what about in a Walther P-22 with a short barrel?

Bullets dont immediately stabilize. They kinda wobble some until they "go to sleep", which happens at ranges from 25ft to 100yrds(sometimes more) from the muzzle. With the 60gr 22rf's, in a gun with a common twist rate, that wobble may never stabilize. Then if you shorten a barrel that has a common twist, which also decreases velocity, you will make that wobble even more pronounced and it will certainly never "go to sleep".

What is the twist rate of the P22? (I'm not awake enough to go look)

I wouldnt trust them through a can. I have shot them from a pistol and they key hole at very short ranges. From a 1:16 twist rifle, they keyhole near 23 yards, from a 1:7 twist they are fine.

I think regular ammo will be subsonic through that, won't it? All my buddies' suppressed .22 handguns sound silent even with HV ammo.

Regular ammo is plenty quiet but I was given a brick of the stuff and was hopein to use it with my can. But I'll just let it sit for a rainy day.
