Default What states should I get a license to carry in?

What states should I get a license to carry in? Are there any that are really cheap or last more than 7 years? I want to have Deleware, NH, Maine, Maryland, other states leading to florida, Navada, and possibly California covered.

    Begin your quest here...

    ...and good luck with Maryland.
While many claim to support the right, precious few support the practice.

    When combined with PA LTCF:

From here to FL....you would need to add either UT, FL or VA to get coverage in DE. None of those will cover you in MD or SC as MD doesn't honor anybody and SC only honors resident licenses. Neither DE nor SC issue to traditional non-residents....and MD is almost impossible to get a non-res.

If you mean driving to California, FL will give you the best coverage...taking care of OH, NE, and KS.

Effective 01/01/11 IA will honor every state's license.

You could get a non-resident NV for NV...but you have to do that in person. You could attempt to get RI for the NV coverage. RI is Shall Issue by law, however, the "Statement of Need" tends to make it May Issue.

CA doesn't honor any other state either.

WA will get you, as a non-resident, the following states with reciprocity:

    Arkansas
    Louisiana
    Michigan
    Mississippi
    Missouri
    North Carolina
    Ohio
    Oklahoma
    Utah

WA seems pretty easy to get, but you must apply in person

We don't have reciprocity with Florida?

We do, but a FL non-resident license gives you a bunch of states that don't honor PA's, including our neighbors Delaware and Ohio.
