Default Out of curiosity; any CL2's in PGH make, sell AOWs?

Reason I ask is that I am pretty sure that if I hang a VFG on a semi-SP89, semi-GSG5 pistol, or a semi-MAC pistol - I'm gonn have to pay $200.00 for a F1 conversion.

    Does this sound correct?

But if a CL2/07 mfg makes such an AOW, I can buy it with a $5.00 F4 fee, correct?

No, im pretty sure as long as you only put a VFG on a pistol, its still an AOW ($5)
Its when you add a stock that makes it a SBR($200)

    For you
    Making it is still $200

    The AOW transfer is $5

Just F1 it yourself. Easier and less expensive.

YEA BUT What are they gonna charge you for Gun/Time/Engraving.

    Little things to think about.

Thanks, I was worried about having to spend the $200.00; way too freakin much to spend just to add a VFG.

Makes me wonder why - given that selective fire guns are so expensive and new ones pretty much unsaleable to the public - more CL2's aren't into building a stable of xferable AOWs to help pay for their 07 license...

Unfortunately for me, that train left the station decades ago.

Back when I had an FFL - and the 86 NFA ban was a mere twinkle in Hughes pedophillic eye - I was told to get my CL3.

Join "the club" they said, and start buying non-F4-transferable "dealer sample" keepers - what we would now call "pre-86 samples".

Could have used the CL3 to stock up on what I wanted at "sample prices"; Walther MPL, a REAL MP5, Star Z45, Berretta 21, SWD M-11/9s in bulk, MG42, 1917, BAR, et al.

Just do enough F3 and F4 xfers between fellow CL3 dealers and private parties so as to make it look like I was legitimately "in the business", rather than simply accumulating "keepers".

Life happens and who has money like that to spend on toys, so no CL3 for me. And Klinton came and killed the CL1 FFL for a lot of us.

Nowadays, its tough to get an FFL, the few pre-86 keeper samples are now worth their weight in gold (or at least their weight in .380ACP), while the post-86 samples are worth more as cut-up parts sets.

    You snooze you lose.
