Yea so I ran out of space with the peg board and came to terms with the fact the way I had my rifles was far from the best use of space. So over the holiday weekend I decided I wanted a vertical gun rack. I checked online to see what was offered but the prices were insane. I came across a good site that had plans for a small 4 gun vertical rack and that is when I decided to build a 38 rifle gun rack. Due to the vertical stacking I was able to fit 38 rifles in the same sized space as one pegboard! woot woot!

I was also struggling with my lack of pistol storage. So while I was in the building mood, I made a pretty cool pistol rack. I took one 8'x10"x1" board and cut it in half. I then glued and screwed them together. I then drilled 14 holes and placed dow rods of various sizes (Currently I hold .22 - .455). I can now mount 14 handguns in a very small amount of space.

So you would think I am done right? Wrong... I was having to much fun.

I now completed framing out the basement to build a reloading room, and the another room around the gun rack. Drywall is going up Saturday, anyone feel like working? The cool thing about all of this is even though I will have less space due to the walls, I gained a shit load of usable space. Once the drywall is up, I am building an 18FT workbench along with shelves in the room. This will give me a lot more area to work and store shizzle. I am also direct venting the area where I will be doing my gun cleaning, along with adding an AC to keep the area cool. I went out and scored a monster dehumidifier over the weekend and direct drained it to ensure the moisture stays out.

So yea this is what has been keeping me busy. At the end of the day this should be pretty pimp stick, and I am having fun doing it
