Re: Carring Permet
There is no provision to update or change LTCF's.
If you move you need to make sure ou get your DL updated (and vehicle reg).
LTCF doesn't change until renewal time.

Re: Carring Permet
The cops were wrong, but what did they need to see your permit for in the first place?

as the other posters say thats not correct, infact if you go in to change it they won't even do it atleast not in allegheny county they tell you to wait until you renew.

They updated mine in Erie County per my request 3 months before it expired and then I renewed it at the normal time.

[The police] told me i (sic) had to get my peremit (sic) remewed (sic) because i (sic) moved.
As previously stated, there are neither provisions nor requirements for "updating" or renewing an LTCF (it's not a permit) - it is good until it expires.
Unlike a Driver's License, there are no forms available for changing an address on an LTCF just because you moved.

Re: Carring Permet
Why on earth were they looking at your CC permit when they were in your house? That sounds a little like invasion if you ask me. non of their damb business when in my house.

Re: Carring Permet
When I moved I asked my Sheriff the same question. He responded:
There is nothing that needs to be done in regards to the address. That was your current address when the license was issued and the license is valid until it expires or is revoked by the issuing authority. There are no provisions in the statute requiring a change of address.
When your current license expires you will need to make application with our office.
Thank you.
