Default IYO: What is the better SA revolver

Hey guys, after a few months with semi auto's they just are not for me. I am returning to revolvers. For pricewise I narrowed it down to a ruger blackhawk or a ruger vaquero. I want one in the 4 5/8" barrel chambered for .357. Is any one better than the other. Granted I am getting into fast draw and gun spinning. Thanks in advance for the opinions

I believe that the two Rugers are comparable, except sights. I would avoid adjustable sights for fast draw and spinning, so looks like the Vaquero?

What do you mean by "spinning", fanning the hammer? This is going to destroy the action on any revolver that is not specially modified for that purpose, and even then parts are fitted and replaced regularly. Vaquero is the better choice for cowboy shooting.

If trick-handling and fast draw is your fancy, then get the Vaquero.

The "New Vaquero" is closer to the original Colt design than the "Vaquero" which is based on the beefier (Super)Blackhawk design. The New Vaquero will be a tad lighter than the older version and will have a closer to original balance.

The Blackhawk's will have sights that would be likely to snag and will have a different balance.

Neither. Get a Beretta/Uberti copy. They are really well made and have closest feel and handling to an original. Just MHO, but I have been very pleased with the ones I've owned.

I'd get a new vaquero, but that's just me.
