    Default Green Lane Park

Going to Green Lane Park later today. I recall Montgomery County Parks to be in violation of preemption, but could not find their rules and regulations posted on the site. Does anyone know?

I'm also very interested in the answer to this question (MontCo. Parks in general really)... I used to go fishing there quite regularly in the summer... Gotta work hard for your bass in that place once temps hit the mid 90's!!!...

    Regards,

    Bones

I couldn't find it on the page either, but this comes up in a search engine: Rules and Regulations

Interesting. Obviously they removed their links to the rules & regulations.

Just returned from Green Lane Park (reservoir section). The first rule on the posted rules & regs was indeed 'no firearms, etc....'.

There were A LOT of people fishing too. They were also having problems with all of their rental boats. Apparently, the boats were running non-stop since 8:00AM and the trolling motors were over heating and shutting off. Happened to me and I had to row for 20 minutes until the motor cooled down.

So what can be done (in terms of true, weighty action, anyhow) to inform them of the fact that they're in violation of preemption? This shit pisses me off to no end...

I'll talk to the ranger next time I'm there (I don't live nearly as close to the park as I used to), but if I'm going to pursue the matter, it would be wise of me to go unarmed - Kind of a catch-22....

Thanks for the pic of their BS sign...

    Regards,

    Bones

I assume it needs to be brought up to the commissioners. I'm on board.

State parks allow guns, county parks do not. Sounds like we need to vote this November. Its the only way to truly send the message. Lets take back our towns, county, state, and country. If we do not stop the madness now, it will only get worse.

I don't know where you heard county parks don't allow guns. It is covered by preemption in the uniform firearms act. If their are firearm ordinances they are not legal.
